Hope you are doing well.

I encourage you to start publishing some of your experiences. I suggest you go beyond DLI and ALL (make sure you start there; it is important for DLI). Try ACTFL Foreign Language Educator; they are always looking for descriptive articles, and I think you could write a good one.

The book for Cambridge is way far underway -- no room now for another contribution. Cannot take one about DLI programs, either, until DLI has a track record with transformative education; right now is just too early to know whether transformation is going to remain a staple of DLI programs and grow or wither away, with DLI retreating to a can't do attitude and focus on 2/2 rather than 3/3 and higher. I think both possibilities are there, but it would not be wise to put anything into a seminal work that is not already well established.

I cannot work with DLI faculty until January 2019 -- a legal requirement on senior leaders who retire or leave; there is a one-year hiatus on interaction with DLI faculty and programs. However, after January 2019, I will be very happy to help anyone there in their search to get published.

All the best -- Betty
