Please tell us briefly about your interest in transformative learning
As a psychosociologist and philosopher of education, my interest for TL originated with my practice of Educational biography in Higher & adult education. I am particularly interested in the temporal and rhythmic dimensions of transformative processes.
I have been committed to the TL community since the first time I participated to a TL conference in 2003 at Teachers College.
I am a co-convenor of the "Interrogating Transformative Processes in Learning" Network associated with the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults, a member of the International Transformative Learning Stewards' Group, a member of the scientific committee of the Italian Transformative Learning Network, and a Consulting editor for the Journal of Transformative Education. I also coordinated the 9th TLC in Athens (2010).
I am also the recipient of the 2016 Jack Mezirow Living Theory of Transformative Learning Award, for an outstanding contribution to the understanding of transformative learning theory, research and practice.
Transformative Learning Network is for all who are interested in the study and practice of transformative learning. Our purpose is to provide a centralized location for you to connect with other scholars, practitioners and scholar-practitioners, as well as to receive regular updates on plans for the next International Transformative Learning Conference.
